Event details

Our two speakers share the common aim of developing medical and health provision for those suffering with dementia. They will display the distinct routes they are taking to mitigate against this pressing societal problem

Prof Giovanna Mallucci (University of Leicester) will describes her experiments in basic science highlighting drug targets to act against the brain dysfunction underlying this debilitating condition.

Dr Lesley Collier (University of Southampton) will describe development of current approaches aimed at improving quality of life for those, likely in care, and living with the burden of dementia.

These talks will be a primer for a poster and networking session from PhD students operating under the SoNG umbrella. Please contact Debbie Buck (db5@soton.ac.uk) if you wish to submit a poster.

This will be  an excellent opportunity for undergraduate and master's students studying in areas allied to SoNG to participate in current research agendas that relate to their education programs.
