Title: Quantum Amplitudes and Classical Gravity

Abstract: Scattering amplitudes in quantum field theory have a number of surprising properties. They also provide a close link, known as the double copy, between Einstein gravity and Yang-Mills theory. Although amplitudes have their origins in quantum field theory, nevertheless their properties are relevant for classical GR. In this talk I will discuss how amplitudes and classical solutions of GR shed light on one another.
