WSA Graduate wins Southampton Employability Award

One former WSA BA (Hons) Textiles, Fashion & Fibre student has won a prestigious Southampton Employability Award worth £1880.

2008 graduate Jessica Heaton, will use this award to pursue a career in millinery. Building on the skills she has learnt during her degree, Jessica plans to spend the next two years undertaking specialist training to prepare her for a career in this highly competitive area of the fashion industry.

The aim of the Awards is to help individual students to achieve their career goals through voluntary placements, specialist training or futher study, the development of a business idea or through the purchase of a key piece of equipment.
