World Book Day at WSA

Published: 3 March 2011

To celebrate at WSA we will be hosting a series of events, installations, performances and interventions.

Winchester Gallery will host an Artist's book handling session within the current Print Matters exhibition. The LIbrary will have a special display as well as some interventions and moving image works by current Fine Art Printmaking students. Graphics students will be projecting images of their book project into the Foyer.

The Eastside Foyer will house an information stall and a stall where students will sell, exchange and give away multiples, prints, zines and editions.

Students from Print will be exhibiting in The Printmaking Workshop and corridor. A series of production events will take place during the day, with demonstrations of screen printing and dry point as well an animation project. Some staff book works and publications will be available to see alongside documentation of Graphics book projects.

The Print studio will become a cafe for the day, here you will be able to browse the library shelf of student book works, take part in the book day raffle. Events, book making and performance work will go on throughout the day, with a VJ performance in the Print Installation space at the end of the day.
