Fashion & Sustainability Forum Thursday 10th March

Published: 10 March 2016
Detail from the Poster

This will be a day of talks, drinks and networking for all staff and students interested in sustainability in fashion.

The keynote speaker will be Caryn Franklin and other speakers, internal and external, will be talking about the diverse and wide ranging issues of sustainability, the environment, ethical trading including some cultural and historical context. These will include Victim, Kate Hills of ‘Make it British’, Charty Durrant and others.

At the end of the session, after drinks (organic wine, of course) and networking, there will be a showing of ‘The True Cost’, a movie made after the Rana Plaza disaster, about the impact the fashion industry is having on the world. The MA Interim show will be on at the same time, so it’s a good opportunity to see the students’ non-waste project Re:Design work, while you drink wine!
