Winchester School of Art Launches the WSA Exchange
The Winchester School of Art is delighted to announce the launch of WSA Exchange, a new Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise platform created to foster connections between industry and our world-class University.
This innovative new enterprise initiative has been developed and led by Amanda Bragg-Mollison, Deputy Head of School (Education) and Knowledge Exchange & Enterprise Lead. It was introduced to foster connections between industry, community and our world class University.
At the launch event, Amanda, WSA Exchange Executive Director, stated: “Working with us will help partners accelerate strategic projects and gain benefit from leading research and knowledge resources. Together we can help deliver impact transforming business, civic, lives and the environment.”
The launch provided an opportunity for colleagues, industry, and community partners to learn more about live research impact projects at the WSA. These included WSA Global Smart Lab, presented by Professor Yuanyuan Yin, which was established to advance research at the interface of art and design.
Associate Professor Kai Syng Tan provided an overview of the WSA Social Practices Lab, explaining how it is designed to provide a focal space, resources, expertise, and the networks to engage in socially led research projects.
The launch was also a networking opportunity, bringing together academics and charities, professionals, cultural organisations, and the local public sector, providing everyone involved the space to actively explore how WSA Exchange can support their activities.
Future plans for WSA Exchange include a podcast, social channels, and a physical space for the public to connect with activities and services.
