Event details

Showing more than 100 images, Eric Musgrave will outline the development of the man’s suit over the past 200 years and will explain how it has become both a uniform of conformity and a symbol of individualism.

Eric Musgrave is one of the best-known writers on menswear in the world. During his 33-year career as a fashion journalist, he launched one of the first men’s style magazines, For Him (now FHM) and he was named Business Magazine Editor of the Year during his time at Drapers. He has edited international magazines based in Amsterdam and Milan. He now writes regularly on men’s style for a range of top-rank publications including The Financial Times, Mr Porter, The Rake and billionaire.com. His acclaimed history of men’s tailoring, Sharp Suits, is just being re-issued in a new edition at the end of February. His blog, The Musgrave Manifesto, is a popular read among menswear aficionados.
