Facilities

At Elisava our workshops offer state of the art facilities enabling students to effectively realise their designs.

Equipment ranges from the traditional to more cutting edge assets such as a laser cutter, 3D printer - which can produce ABS plastic prototypes up to 150x150x100cm - as well as a large format milling machine.

The workshop staff bring excellent practical skills and support to students, helping them to produce professional models and prototypes, while those looking to investigate new materials have access to a laboratory where they can use a tensile bench, Rockwell hardness meter and high temperature oven to thoroughly ensure that materials are fit for purpose in architecture and interior or product design.

The photographic suite enables students to develop and manipulate 35mm film photographs and the well equipped printing centre offers Digital Media students the opportunity for small and large format printing in both colour and black and white. Printers are also located throughout the school along with numerous PC and Mac suites, each loaded with up-to-date, industry standard software applications.

Wi-fi access is available throughout the school as well as in the Enric Bricall Library, an extensive design resource which has dedicated zones for online referencing, scanning and printing, as well as areas for quiet study, relaxation and contemplation.
