One of the South’s leading law firms has joined Southampton Business School’s Executive Learning Partnership (ELP). Blake Morgan, with more than 500 lawyers in six offices across the region, will also host the Partnership’s Keynote Lecture in August 2017.

The ELP runs top level monthly master classes on current business issues delivered by industry experts, master practitioners and specialist academics. Partners, including JP Morgan, Ordnance Survey and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), send senior managers and potential leaders to the events to develop their skills and knowledge and meet fellow professionals. The annual Leadership Debate in March is a lively interactive session featuring a panel of opinionated businessmen and women.

Paul Bennett, University Director of Executive Education says: “We are delighted to have Blake Morgan on board and know they will make a tremendous contribution to our discussions. Our partners drive our decisions when we draw up our annual programme of master classes and past events have included an insight into future technologies at Cisco headquarters.”

Alison McClure, Divisional Director and Partner at Blake Morgan's South Coast office said: "We are delighted to become members of the Southampton ELP.

"As one of the region's largest law firms we look forward to contributing and working alongside the other Partners to shape the learning agenda for the region's businesses. Our staff will also benefit greatly from connecting with a research intensive university, and networking with other fellow professionals and ELP partners."

The ELP was established four years ago as an innovative way for leading companies to keep up to date with new models of leadership and latest business thinking and tap into the resources and impactful research of the University of Southampton.

Southampton Business School is also launching an Open Programme of leadership and management education for ambitious executives from companies in any sector. Starting in March 2017, two-day residential sessions will be held each month in Southampton with input from top academics and industry specialists.
