Mohammad Ibrahim Alta’any PhD in Accounting: “The Impact of Corporate Governance on Sustainability Reporting” – February 2020.

It’s once said by Mervyn King; “It is clear that good corporate governance makes good sense. The name of the game for a company in the 21st Century will be conform while it performs”. I chose the Centre for Research in Accounting, Accountability and Governance at the University of Southampton because of its unique pedigree as a specialist centre for academics and practitioners, where it has distinguished academic staff and offers an exciting interdisciplinary research environment. During my PhD, I will explore the impact of corporate governance on sustainability reporting.

Mohammad Ibrahim Alta’any started his PhD at Southampton Business School in February 2020. He is with the Centre for Research in Accounting, Accountability and Governance (CRAAG) and his PhD topic is “The Impact of Corporate Governance on Sustainability Reporting”. Alta’any graduated with distinction from the University of Southampton with an MSc degree in Accounting and Finance. He obtained his BSc in Accounting from Hashemite University with distinction level as well.
