Professor Phil Bartlett

Phil Bartlett, Professor of Electrochemistry, has been awarded the Giulio Milazzo Prize by the Bioelectrochemical Society, recognising his contribution to science. He will receive the prize and deliver a lecture at the Society’s bienniel Symposium in Malmö.

“I am honoured to receive this lifetime achievement award from my fellow electrochemists,” says Phil, who has worked at the University of Southampton since 1992. Bioelectrochemistry is one of his research interests together with the templated electrodeposition of nanostructured materials.

The Society is an international scientific association founded by Professor Giulio Milazzo in 1979 to promote understanding and cooperation among scientists interested in the application of electrochemical concepts and techniques to the fundamental or applied study of living systems. The Prize honours the Professor’s memory.
