All of our Discover Oceanography sessions take place on the R. V. Callista, she is a purpose built fully operational research vessel. Owned by the University of Southampton, she is based at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton in Empress Dock.

Callista can accomodate a maximum of 36 passengers, but she typically sails with around 25-28 adults on board. Discover Oceanography sessions last approximatley 3 hours and provide a brief introduction to the multidisplinary field of Oceanography.
