Event details

Here is an opportunity to learn simple, complementary, portable techniques that you can take away and use at your desk, every day. Location: Avenue Campus.

Stella Tomlinson will introduce you to:

  • Chair Yoga: Learn movements to tease out tightness from your neck, shoulders and back. This is a gentle style of yoga you can do from a (mostly) seated position that also incorporates the breathing and mind-body benefits of a traditional class.
  • Breathing Space: Learn to use your breath to calm your body and mind.

The combined session will run from 16.15 (prompt start please) to 17.00, so will make a perfect end to your day.

Numbers are limited for this session. To reserve your place, please go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wellbeing-chair-yoga-and-breathing-space-tickets-18715521629. (After booking, you will receive a 'welcome' email. Should you need to cancel after booking, please follow the instructions in this email.)

This free session is organised through the University's Wellbeing Week 2015, and is open to staff and students. Our thanks to Stella for sharing her skills.
