What can I do with a PhD in the Humanities?
Humanities runs an annual Career Day with advice and information for all PGR students, the day usually takes place in March. Career Day features talks from former students who have gone on to take different career paths, including academia, law, accountancy, teaching and the civil service as well as from external businesses who have PhD-graduate employment routes.
'As a PhD student who is not dead set on a career in academia, it was very refreshing to attend a career day which not only acknowledged the possibilities of career paths outside of academia, but actively encouraged you to consider them' - Will Lingard, PhD Music
Read about Career Day 2010 in our 2011 PGR Newsletter the theme for which was 'Employability'.
