Further to the submission of their intellectual property (IP) summative coursework and upon recommendation of Dr Eleonora Rosati, final year LLB students Roosa Tarkianen and Lyubomira Midelieva have worked towards turning their essays on the landmark decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union in GS Media, C-160/15, into articles to be submitted for consideration for publication in specialist IP journals.

Both succeeded.

Roosa's article, 'Tipping the scale in GS Media: a proposal to restore the balance between rightholders and internet users', will be published in the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice (Oxford University Press). Lyubomira's piece, 'Rethinking hyperlinking: addressing hyperlinks to unauthorised content in copyright law and policy', has been accepted for publication in the European Intellectual Property Review (Sweet&Maxwell).

Dr Rosati said: "I was incredibly pleased to see Roosa and Lyubomira working so hard on their essays and turning them into good articles. Their analyses and recommendations will be read by IP specialists, including academics, practitioners, and policy-makers."
