What is WebCat?
WebCat is essentially a computerised database containing information about the majority of the Library's stock. There are WebCat terminals at all Library sites and WebCat is also available on the Web.
WebCat allows you to find what books the Library has, where they are shelved, and whether they are currently on loan. It also allows you to check your own details - how many books you have charged to your card, and when they are due back.
WebCat gives you access to the catalogues of other libraries - so if you are after a particular book, and it is not held here, you can see if another Library has it.
WebCat is an extremely useful resource, and you should try to become familiar with it as soon as possible.
