This interactive workshop will provide practical knowledge on how one can best integrate equality, diversity and inclusion values in their research and policy impact. Participants are not expected to have any prior specialist knowledge in equality, diversity and inclusion or policy impact, but a general understanding will be helpful. During the workshop, the trainer will talk on why these values and this topic is vital for policy making and policy impact, and provide some practical examples on easy ways to ensure researchers are taking these into consideration. The workshop will also examine power structures and how they fit into one’s research and policy impact work, and how to respond to this.

Laura Bea,Policy Fellow at Public Policy|Southampton,Laura cares deeply about taking an empathetic, evidence based and interdisciplinary approach to social, environmental and economic issues. Laura most specifically is interested in access to education, gender equality, combating sexual violence, and sustainability.
