Biostatistics

How can statistics support colleagues working in medical research?

Our Biostatistics programme covers research into the development and application of statistical methods in medicine including public health, clinical trials and epidemiology. We enjoy strong links with Medicine and Life Sciences at the University of Southampton. Many research projects are prompted by problems arising in medical research and the pharmaceutical industry. The biostatistics group is also the statistical partner in the Growth Hormone 2004 Project which aims to fight growth hormone misuse in sport.
