The University charges two levels of fee: the lower ‘home’ fee and the higher ‘overseas’ fee.
Your fee status category
Generally, students from the UK and European Union (EU) who have been resident in the European Economic Area for the last three years pay the home fee. Students from countries outside the EU pay overseas fees. However, there are some exceptions.
You can check which fee category applies to you on the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) website.
How we assess your fee status
The University's Admissions Team will assess your fee status by looking at the information you provide with your application and making a decision in line with the following legislation set out by the government:
Get in touch if you have any queries about your fee status
- Student Fees (Qualifying Courses and Persons) (England) Regulations 2007
- Education (Fees and Awards) (England) Regulations 2007
We may ask you to provide extra information to help us assess your fee status. If this is necessary we will ask you to complete a Fees Assessment Questionnaire. We will also ask you to provide documents, such as passports or official letters, to support the information you give.
If you have any questions about your fee status or fees classification, please contact the Admissions Team.
