Tuition fees for overseas students

Overseas students pay different fees to students from the UK.

From September 2021, students from the EU will also pay Overseas fees.

Channel Island, Isle of Man and Irish students will be charged the same tuition fee as home students.

Cost of study

The amount you'll pay to study at Southampton depends on the course you choose. You can find out how much you'll pay for undergraduate or postgraduate study.

The amount you'll pay will stay the same each year, as long as you do not change course. Your fees can only increase if you move from a:

If you’re an international student studying on a full-time postgraduate course, we’ll ask you to pay £2,000 of your tuition fee in advance, as a deposit.

You need to pay the deposit to secure your place and demonstrate commitment to the University.

We will send you details of how to pay this deposit and full terms and conditions in your offer letter. You must pay the deposit within 30 days of accepting your offer.
