Fees and funding for international students

Find out everything you need to know about international (non-EU) student finances at undergraduate or postgraduate level, including tuition fees and scholarships for international students.

With fixed tuition fees and a discount for payment in full, we aim to make studying at the University of Southampton affordable.

If you are a student from the European Union (EU) please see our fees and funding information for UK and EU undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Fees Funding

Fixed tuition fees

International students starting at the University from the 2016/17 and 2017/18 academic years onwards will pay the same fixed fee for each year of their course up to a maximum of four years.

Tuition fee discounts

You will receive a one per cent discount if you pay your 2017/18 tuition fees in full, by 2 October 2017. This discount applies to the 2017/18 academic year only. If you have studied with us before, you could also receive 10 per cent off postgraduate course fees.

Find out more about paying tuition fees.

International fees

We generally charge two levels of fee. A ‘home’ fee applies for United Kingdom and European Union (EU) students. A higher ‘overseas’ fee applies for students from countries outside the EU.

For full details and to check which fee applies to you, check your fee status.
