BA Fashion Graduate Fashion Week Social Takeover

Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) is the largest showcase of UK and International BA creative fashion talent in the world. Each year graduating students from universities across the country show their final projects on the catwalk to audiences including industry buyers, recruiters, stylists, and the media.

On 11 May, BA Fashion Design took part in the GFW Instagram Takeover, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their designs on the official GFW Instagram channel, to a following of over 81K people.

Students, staff, and Studio 3015 created content that was shared on the official GFW Instagram channel stories. The takeover lasted the day, and the posts are saved in the channels’ highlights for a year.

The takeover was an important opportunity for students to share their work, as well as a profile-raising activity to showcase the University to new national and international audiences.

Graduate Fashion Week returns to the Truman Brewery in London’s fashionable Brick Lane between 12-15 June for GFW23. University of Southampton BA Fashion Design graduating students present their work on the catwalk on Wednesday 14 June at 10:30.
