Broadlands Archives Digitisation

The Broadlands Archives is one of the University's foremost collections of manuscripts. Centred on the Temple (Palmerston), Ashley, Cassel and Mountbatten families, this substantial collection dates from the sixteenth century to the present. The material provides a preeminent resource for British politics in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Correspondence of third Viscount Palmerston and British diplomats has been digitised and is available in the Digital Library.

The first material to be unveiled as part of the new Mountbatten Digitisation Project will be private papers of Earl and Countess Mountbatten of Burma.
