Early Career Community

Chemistry & Chemical Engineering culture is welcoming, friendly and inclusive. The heart of the department is the coffee room/common room, which is open to all from 9am to 12.45pm. Taking a break and socialising here helps to integrate our community and it's where a lot of networking occurs.

Chemistry Quiz Night

Chemistry & Chemical Engineering at Southampton has a thriving community of early career researchers and they organise events to encourage co-workers to meet and discuss research, for example the "early career researchers" forum, which is advertised to all by email prior to an event. Other events have included a charity pub quiz held in the evening in the common room and attended by over 40 staff and researchers.
