Dr Richard Brown is promoted to personal chair
The School of Chemistry is delighted to announce that Dr Richard Brown has been promoted to the position of Professor.
Richard, whose main research interests focus around organic synthesis, says of his recent promotion:
‘I am delighted to receive the promotion to personal chair for my research achievements in synthetic organic chemistry. Over the last fourteen years, a large number of researchers have worked and studied in my laboratory, and I am very grateful to them all for their contributions. I have also been fortunate to work with excellent colleagues and collaborators, who have provided inspiration and support.’
Head of the School of Chemistry, Professor John Evans comments:
'This promotion is thoroughly deserved. Richard has exciting plans for the future, developing synthetic methods and applying them in medical treatments and diagnosis methods.'
