Prof. Ernesto Calvo is a world leader in electrochemistry and he has developed a new method of lithium production, which won the Bright Minds Challenge international competition in 2017.

Prof. Ernesto Calvo, University of Buenos Aires. Ernesto’s research interests include: Interfacial and molecular electrochemistry. Chemically modified electrodes; Amperometric enzyme electrodes. Experimental studies and modelling; Self-Assembled mono and multilayers; Electrocatalysis of the Oxygen Reduction Reaction; Electrosynthesis; and Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
