Big Success for students in Somerset project in GCSE Mandarin

First group of students in Westfield Academy in Yeovil are celebrating after getting good grades in GCSE Mandarin Chinese. The course was delivered by Confucius Institute at University of Southampton within the Somerset Project which is a Mandarin delivering project involving 15 schools in Somerset. The class of 10 students between them achieved 1A* grade, 1 A, 2B grades and 4 Cs. After this very successful start, Mandarin will be continued as a permanent fixture of the curriculum at Westfield. The school is very grateful to Confucius Institute and all the other staffs.
