2017 Chinese Cultural Festival for People with Disabilities

On 27th October 2017, the Chinese Cultural Festival was organised at the Eastleigh Pavilion by Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton (CI Soton) for people with disabilities and was a great success.

Ms. Maureen Sollitt, Mayor of Eastley, Dr. Ying Zheng, British Director and Dr. Fang Zhou, Chinese Director of CI Soton participated in the event. Professional dance and music teachers from Goldsmiths Confucius Institute at the University of London gave wonderful performances, and teachers from CI Soton treated the visitors to six workshops – Chinese Tea, Calligraphy, Papercutting, Storytelling, Traditional Clothing and Mooncake Games.
