Confucius Institute Contributes to the "2018 Summer Carnival" at St. James Park

On 14th July 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton (CI Soton) participated in the annual Summer Festival at St. James Park.

Chinese martial arts, calligraphy, scorpions, Diabolo, as well as lantern making workshops, were brought to the festival by CI Soton this year. Local people enjoyed the UK’s rare summer sun while experiencing cultural activities from the mysterious East.

This is the second year of large-scale international cultural activities at St. James Park. The CI Soton continues to support and actively participate in the event to enrich the life of the local community and provide more opportunities for people to understand Chinese culture.
