CI Soton at the Open Evening of Applemore College

On 27th September 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton (CI Soton) joined Applemore College for its Open Evening in advance of the imminent establishment of its Chinese course. Throughout the evening, students and parents were given the chance to learn something new about traditional Chinese culture and get to know modern China. The teaching philosophy of the college strives to broaden students’ horizons and therefore there are very high expectations for the Chinese course in collaboration with CI Soton. It is hoped that Chinese can become the third language course at the school, making the language department truly rich and colourful.
