Hands-on Humanities Day at the University of Southampton

On 20th November, the Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton participated in the Hands-on Humanities Day–Southampton Arts and Humanities Festival, an offline event organised by the University of Southampton

The event provided an opportunity for students, teachers, and local people to learn more about traditional Chinese culture and arts.

This event featured three workshops: Chinese calligraphy, folk paper-cutting and lantern-making, which attracted 170 enthusiastic visitors. Through the activities, Southampton teachers and students and local people got the opportunity to appreciate the charm of Chinese calligraphy. They also got to experience the ingenuity of traditional Chinese handcrafts.
