Launch of the Centre Event

The Centre was launched on 7 July 2015 with a multi-disciplinary panel discussion on medical lobbying featuring Professor Nick Sheron, (Medicine, University of Southampton) Professor Hazel Biggs, Dr Caroline Jones (Law, University of Southampton) Dr Catherine Kelly (Law, University of Western Australia) Dr Joan Tumblety (History University of Southampton). This launch event doubled as the closing session for an international workshop held 6-7 July on historical cultures of medical lobbying in Britain and France. The centre has a seminar series. Past Speakers included Dr Johanna Malt (King’s College London), Prof. David Baldwin (University of Southampton), Prof Richard Cleminson (University of Leeds), Dr Claire Shaw (University of Warwick), Dr Sarah Marks (Birkbeck University of London).
