Our approach to research is shaped by our commitment to inter-disciplinary study, and our recognition of the value of conversation between scholars from different subject backgrounds.
We meet regularly and encourage all members of the CMRC - from MA students to professorial staff - to share their work, get involved in discussions and contribute to debates about research projects, methods and the challenges of thinking about medieval and renaissance culture.
A particular feature of the Centre is our interest in innovative and creative research methods, public engagement and knowledge exchange. CMRC staff and students are involved in ground-breaking work in these areas, from collaborative research with museums and archives to partnerships with local government, heritage organisations and creative industries across the UK.
