Take part in COVID-19 testing

The government has announced an end to mass-testing for COVID-19 from 1 April 2022. This means that our saliva testing programme must stop on 31 March 2022.

You can continue to take two tests a week until 31 March. Your final test must be dropped off by midday on 31 March, after which no further tests will be collected.

There is no need to remove yourself from the saliva testing programme. You will stop receiving text message and email updates automatically.

The saliva testing team would like to thank everyone that has taken part in the programme over the last 18 months. You can be proud that what started as a pilot at the University over the summer of 2020 has expanded to help so many people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight stay safe through the pandemic.

Rapid lateral flow tests

Following the government’s decision to stop mass-testing for COVID-19, we will be receiving no further stock of lateral flow test kits for distribution to students and staff. You may still find you can order them from the gov.uk website or collect them from a local pharmacy before 1 April 2022.
