Undergraduate Vacation Internships

These are aimed at undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study and who may be interested in gaining greater experience of the research environment, with a view to possible future doctoral study in engineering, physical and/or mathematical sciences.  

The research internships take place for 10 weeks during the summer and will be hosted by one of our leading research groups.  The internship programme includes an induction, midway development day and final poster presentation where students will have the opportunity to showcase the research they have completed.  

The Vacation Internship programme is run in conjunction with the University of Southampton Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise Summer Research Internships Scheme.
