The Fund

As part of the Festival of Doctoral Research, we give researchers the chance to apply for up to £1000 to run an activity or event during the Festival.

For the 2017 Festival we had some great applications where we funded the following PGR-led events.

What events did we fund?

Introduction of Colour – PGR Study Room Decoration project
Footprints of Stoke Charity - An exhibition of current artwork, including performance
Emoji Thesis workshop – Could you summarise your thesis using emojis?
CDT Showcase – A half-day event where CDTs and DTPs can showcase their work through presentations and a poster session
Bake your PhD – Bake a cake which showcases your research
Build your own terrarium - Learn to make you very own, self-watering miniature garden.
