In his keynote, Keith analyses how the involvement of researchers from all countries means that it is more likely that global challenges can be tackled. Such global involvement of researchers helps to improve the quality of research internationally, while the world-wide research community is impoverished if there is under-representation by any countries. His paper for the JSSE conference proceedings can be found here.

Speaking about his keynote presentation, Keith said, "I was very honoured to be invited to give this important keynote, especially as it is in recognition of the international nature of my research in Education and my collaboration with colleagues in a range of countries. The conference provided a great opportunity to discuss the globalization of Education research with prominent researchers in Japan."
