Southampton Education School is running a half-day workshop designed to give those considering a career in teaching opportunities to experience some of the skills and techniques that teachers use on a daily basis.
The workshop is open to both undergraduate students and those interested in entering a teaching career who have (or will have) appropriate qualifications. In a friendly and informal atmosphere, you will be introduced to:
- Routes into teaching
- An overview of school structures
- Group work - participating and organising
- Presentation and communication skills
- QTS tests
- Working with young people
The workshop is free to attend and there will be light refreshments available.
