Young Researcher Award for Land Rover BAR intern

PhD student Laura Marimon Giovannetti has won a Young Researcher Award while working for Land Rover BAR. Laura was one of three researchers to receive an award at the Sixth International Conference on Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Computation (SEMC) in South Africa.

Laura said: “The conference had 360 delegates from 60 different countries. It was mostly concerned with the structural side of things, so I had to adjust my presentation a bit, which is on the structure and the hydrodynamics of the fluids and the interaction between the two. I was very pleased because since I won the Award I was able to present in the biggest room, and it had quite good attendance and I got good questions as well from the audience.”
