Hydroleus - Free running foiling catamaran

This year, GDP Group 35 (Juliette Bataille, Nirmalya Soyan Roy, Come Tisserand, Marius Brouet, Joseph Newton and Felix Chermette) was tasked with designing and building a free running foiling catamaran model.
As the last step in the project, they spent a couple of days in the Towing Tank using our Qualisys motion capture system to measure the model behaviour. After some initial non-foiling runs, they achieved several “full flight” runs and were able to validate their design work.
