Young’s Modulus Measurements

Young's modulus (E) describes tensile elasticity and is a measure of the stiffness of a solid material; it is defined as the ratio of tensile stress to tensile strain. It is often referred to simply as the elastic modulus.

Young’s Modulus can be measured with the nanoindentation systems and is determined from the unloading part of the load-displacement curve.
