The aim is to explore the potential of adaptive materials and structures in ships.
Project Overview
This will allow vessels to react to changing operational and environmental conditions and thus to operate more efficiently.
In addition, the use of adaptive, smart and intelligent materials may offer additional functionality making ships more attractive to operators and passengers, thus improving the competitiveness of shipbuilders and ship operators.
