Research project: Advanced Waste Gasification/Pyrolysis for Bio-energy (Bio-syngas or Bio-oil) Production

The project targets at the development of an advanced thermal technology to convert municipal solid waste (MSW) to bioenergy through advanced gasification and pyrolysis: (1) MSW fast pyrolysis to generate bio-oil, and (2) MSW gasification to produce bio-syngas. The study will contribute to effective and sustainable waste management, diversifying energy supply matrix, promoting use of clean renewable energy, decreasing the potential threaten of MSW to human health, and gaining carbon credit to industries.
