Speaker information

Dr Andrew Aspden, University of Portsmouth. Andrew Aspden is a lecturer in Engineering Sciences in the School of Engineering, University of Portsmouth, and is a member of the Thermo-Fluid, Petroleum and Energy Engineering Research Group. He obtained an MMath from the University of Oxford in 2002, followed by a Phd in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 2006. Andrew was awarded a Glenn T Seaborg Fellowship at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he was a member of the Centre for Computational Sciences and Engineering for five years. His research interests include analysis and simulation of fluid mechanics, turbulence and combustion.
