At the start of each academic year, the Faculty International Office (FIO) is on hand to welcome the new student intake and to help our partnership students to settle into living and studying in Southampton.
Our team organises a welcome dinner every year for partner students to attend at the beginning of semester one. The purpose of this meeting is to welcome the students to the Faculty of Social Sciences, introduce key academic and FIO staff (as well as each other), offer students useful advice as they commence their studies, and help them make new friends.
