Dr Joshua Turner is a Research Fellow at the Macmillan Survivorship Research Group (MSRG) within Health Sciences, University of Southampton (UoS).
Josh joined the Macmillan Survivorship Research Group (MSRG) in 2016. His role will be to help manage the day-to-day running of the Macmillan HORIZONS programme which is a cohort study exploring how a diagnosis of cancer and its treatment affects a person’s life over time.
Josh obtained a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London and completed his PhD within Health Sciences, University of Southampton. His doctoral research investigated the differences between telephone and face-to-face psychological therapies with regards to patient outcomes and experiences, as well as practitioner experiences and views. The project was contextualised within the Low-intensity service of the Improving Accessing to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme.
