Student placements

Practice placements represent an essential part of any clinical healthcare degree and are where you will develop all the skills you need to start your career. They are your opportunity to put theory into practice in a real-life situation. You will be supervised by clinical staff who will be involved in supporting you and contributing to your assessment.

At Health Sciences our strong relationships with healthcare providers and private organisations across our region and beyond, help you get the most from your practice placement. Depending on your programme of study, you could find yourself working in a range of settings. Clinical settings generally include hospitals, clinics, health centres, or out and about in the community.
