Because I only graduated a few years ago, I know how the university works from personal experience so I can explain how everything works. The job is very varied and involves recruitment, showing people around the campus and going to schools as well as working in the office.

Musician Danni enjoyed her first degree at Southampton so much, she decided to stay on to do a master’s in Musicology. She is still involved in music today as she teaches clarinet and saxophone in the evening and plays in amateur orchestras and bands.

During the day, Danni helps and advises young people thinking of studying at Southampton as a recruitment co-ordinator at the University.

“Because I only graduated a few years ago, I know how the university works from personal experience so I can explain how everything works. The job is very varied and involves recruitment, showing people around the campus and going to schools as well as working in the office,” she explains.

Before taking up this job, she was a locations assistant and runner for a film company, making sure all the arrangements worked well and filming went smoothly.
