Undergraduate courses
Our courses span the humanities disciplines and are informed by the latest research.
With over 1,500 students, the Humanities undergraduate community brings together seven creative and distinct departments.
Many of our academic staff are active researchers. This means that you will be taught by staff who are working at the cutting edge of their speciality and who are eager to share their enthusiasm and ideas with you.
Our friendly, informal atmosphere allows our students to feel free to come and ask for advice and guidance. Throughout your studies, you will remain in close contact with your personal tutor, who can always be turned to for help and advice about academic and non academic matters.
Humanities at Southampton offers a range of innovative flexible learning options, so you can tailor your degree to suit your specific needs and interests.
You can also visit the individual department sites to discover more about undergraduate studies: Archaeology, English, Film, History, Modern Languages and Linguistics, Music and Philosophy.
