We will be holding a one-day cultural event on Sunday 18th November consisting of a series of short talks led by experts from within the Parkes Institute at Southampton. This thought provoking and inspiring conference will provide you with the opportunity to learn and engage in discussion about the Holocaust from academics of international distinction.

This study day will consist of a series of talks by experts from the Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/Non-Jewish Relations with plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion. The talks will cover topics on Jewish life by examining a variety of different approaches including through history and literature, on film and television, and in memoirs and Holocaust testimony. The day will present the opportunity to learn about the impact of the Holocaust and examine developments within Jewish life since this defining event from the perspectives of history, literature, religion and culture.

Charges

£30 full rate

£20 loyalty rate (Harbour Lights Members, Friends of Parkes, English Teachers Network, university staff and alumni)

£10 discount rate (students/sixth form & college students and those in receipt of income-based Job Seeker's Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Council Tax or Housing Benefit)
