Kenneth Rainin Symposium in the USA

The Southampton IBD team has had work accepted for international presentation at the Kenneth Rainin Symposium in the USA.

The team have been looking at which genes are turned on and off in the gut of patients with IBD and how this corresponds to the mutations in the genes. It appears that genes related to the immune system are more likely to only have one copy turned on in the gut, which may have impacts for the understanding of IBD genetics. The team hope to write this up as a full paper in the future.
